Copperstate Dinner Theater Announces AriZoni Award Winners

arizoni-logo.pngThe Copperstate Dinner Theater at Phoenix Greyhound park is pleased to announce that it has an even dozen AriZoni Awards for theatrical excellence.

The AriZoni awards, now in their 15th year, recognize excellence in valley theater. More than 100 productions and over 800 individual performances were adjudicated during the 2003-04 season. The Copperstate Dinner Theater earned 36 nominations during the season. The winners were announced in a ceremony Monday evening Sept. 26th at the Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix.

The Copperstate Dinner Theater was recognized with 12 awards, including Best Production of the Year for ‘Noises Off’.

* Best Play of the Year - Noises Off
* Best Actress in a Play - Noel Irick in Noises Off
* Best Actor in a Musical - Roy Hunt in Man of La Mancha
* Best Supporting Actor in a Play - Jesse Berger in Noises Off
* Best Director of a Play - Peter J. Hill for Noises Off
* Best Director of a Musical - Peter J. Hill for Man of La Mancha
* Best Director of a Musical - Noel Irick for Man of La Mancha
* Best Scenic Design - Peter J. Hill for Man of La Mancha
* Best Scenic Design - Gregory Jaye for Noises Off
* Best Costume Design - Noel Irick for Noises Off
* Best Hair and Make-up Design - Noel Irick for Noises Off (tie)
* Best Hair and Make-up Design - Noel Irick for Man of La Mancha (tie)
